   What type of windows and doors am I required to have?  
    Answer 1: That requires a home inspection. Different areas have different local building codes that specify different types of windows. These codes must be met and they do vary from location to location.

Do we have to get a permit?

   
    Answer 2: Yes. All windows and door replacements require a building permit by a licensed certified contractor. We are licensed in the State of Florida.

    Answer 4: Lead times are established by manufacturers and are based on the products selected. Once the product is selected, we'll establish a clear timetable. We always strive to complete your project in a timely manner.

Is it possible to get a ball park price over the phone?

    Answer 5: No. In order to ensure we provide as accurate an estimate as possible, we conduct a thorough inspection of the property to determine the type of windows to be used, the available options for those windows, and code requirements specific to your area. Note that all estimates are free of charge.

Why is it necessary to use custom style windows and doors in replacement applications?

 
    Answer 11: We do this to prevent removal or damage to either interior or exterior surfaces, including stucco, drywall, marble, or tile. Custom installations also help ensure plumb-square installation for air-tight fit and easy operation.

  How do I measure my windows?  
    Answer 12:

The beauty of working with Indian River Glass is that you don't have to. All of our installers are trained to do quality professional work. We take the worry out of how to so you can relax and enjoy your new windows and doors. We worry about proper measurements for correct fit and with today's new window and door styles that can be complicated.

We take care of meeting current code requirements like:

  1. Egress for emergency escape where required by code.
  2. Safety glazing in windows required by location in home.
  3. Meeting turtle code requirements for shading co-efficient in county of Volusia as required.
  4. Meeting current Florida codes for Wind Borne Debris protection on all windows and doors.
  5. Making sure the windows and doors have Florida product approval and Notice of Acceptance.
  6. Making sure proper permits are pulled and inspection is done at completion.
