AWP offers a wide variety of Dade County Approved windows and doors to comply with the requirements of the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) of the Florida Building Code, 2007 Edition. Hurricane resistant protection devices (shutters) are required when installed within the HVHZ area. Installation of non-impact resistant rated windows meets the applicable requirements for wind borne debris protection. Impact resistant windows do not require protection devices.
Series 800 Aluminum Awning Windows come with a sturdy .062” thick aluminum framing with weather-stripping placed away from the outside wall to make it much less prone to ozone and UV deterioration. The awning window comes with extra heavy duty roto type operators. All moving parts glide on self-lubricating nylon for easy opening and closing. Mill finish color is standard and white or bronze are optional. Window glass is available in clear, bronze, gray tint or obscure glass.
Series 2500 Hurricane Resistant Single Hung Windows come with a 2 3/16” deep heavy duty aluminum frame, steel reinforced with maintenance free aluminum for long-term beauty. The sash is removable for easy cleaning and service of outside and upper lites and comes with a self-locking mechanism for extra security and a continuous lift bar for easy opening and closing. Window glass is available in clear, bronze, gray tint or obscure glass. The standard frame colors are white and bronze.
Series 1700 Impact Single Hung Windows come with a 3 1/4” deep heavy duty aluminum frame, and meets higher design pressures. The Series 1700 also comes with a classic European flair, special request glass options and additional frame colors.

Series 4000 Aluminum Sliding Glass Doors come with a universal frame. One frame works with all track conditions; sloped exterior or flat interior tracks all fit the same frame. A vinyl water barrier is standard on all tracks. The door panes have a revolutionary locking style. The advanced engineering design puts all weather-stripping on the panes. This design makes a super strong section and provides an unsurpassed water and weather seal. The standard options include white, bronze and mill finishes. The glass is tempered for added security and weather protection available in clear, gray and bronze tints.
Impact Sliding Glass Doors come with 9/16” Impact Resistant glass, easy glide rollers on high quality plated steel rollers and height adjustable to elevate or lower the panels to ensure easy movement. The door comes with a Dual Point Mortise lock with an anti-slam device and self-lubricating. The standard options include white, bronze and aluminum anodized panels and the glass options available are clean, gray tint and bronze tint.
